Obama and Free Speech

You don’t hear about it much in the mainstream media. In fact, you may not have heard about it at all. Anti-Obama media is being attacked not only by Obama supporters, but by Obama himself.

I think it’s fairly typical for people to attack the other party or other party’s leader via phone calls, blogs, writing letters, etc. To take it a step further, I’ve been hearing about people that are afraid to put McCain stickers on their vehicles because they are being vandalized. Of course, you can’t exactly prove it’s an Obama supporter but it certainly seems that the people are “anti-McCain.”

But Obama himself takes the cake. Obama’s lawyers have filed numerous threatening letters to radio stations, the NRA, TV stations (ABC) and other media outlets for people speaking out against Obama. Fairly “thuggish” behavior for such a nice guy.

I’d like to point out that democrats are not the only group to try to stifle free speech. Right-wing republicans have been doing it for years and are still doing it. The slight difference is that right-wing republicans attack free speech under the guise of moral turpitude, where as democrats seems to attack free speech in order foster their political agendas by suppressing opposing points of view.
